<p>Issued by Gay Men Fighting AIDS in May 1995 as part of their safer sex campaign to encourage gay men to use condoms to prevent potential infection by the HIV virus. It was handed out by volunteers in a gay bar and is an ingeniously designed novelty condom pack looking almost exactly like a London Underground season ticket pass, containing a condom and a sachet of lubricant. The red, plastic holder has 4 clear plastic pockets. This image shows those on the outside containing cards (the front one has a spoof of the London Underground symbol with a graphic representation of an erect penis entering a red ring), the condom and lube is in the inside ones behind cards showing an attractive pair of buttocks and an erect penis (encased in a condom) at the moment of penetration under the headings: 'Put it on' and 'Squeeze it out'. ‘Gay Men Fighting AIDS’ (later known as GMFA) was founded in 1992 by a group of gay men who felt that there was not enough HIV prevention work being targeted specifically at gay men, broadening its remit in 2002 to include all health issues which disproportionately affect gay men over other populations, becoming GMFA - the gay men's health charity.</p>
