About this work

Description

Fluorescence micrograph of the head of a mouse embryo viewed from the front. Parts of the brain have been stably labelled with a fluorescent protein (green; EYFP) in order to visualise them as the mouse develops. At this stage of development (embryonic day 13.5) the forebrain and the eyes are visible. In this image the dark pigmentation of the eyes are partially covering the fluorescence signal. Width of image is approximately 5 mm.
