Description

The first item on the programme is about the history of lobotomy. Jack El-Hai talks in the studio about his new book 'The Lobotomist', a biography of Walter Freeman, the surgeon who pioneered the lobotomy procedure in America. The second item is about cognitive behavioural therapy, used to treat a range of disorders including anorexia, bulimia and post traumatic stress disorder. The third item is about baby labs, tailor made laboratories around teh country which study the behaviour and brain activity of infants under the age of two.
