Associated diseases, tuberculosis, etc. In order to promote interest in the study of the most im- portant subject of the occupational diseases, I would suggest the formation in the larger cities of committees of those whose interests meet on at least the common ground of statistics. I may be permitted to refer to the personnel of such a committee which I organized two years ago in New York City, and which was subsequently adopted by the local branch of the American Association for Labor Legislation as one of its special committees. It comprises a professor of chemistry, an insurance actuary, an expert statistician, representatives of the American Association for Labor Legislation of the State Labor Bureau and State Bureau of Factory Inspection, a professor of economics, a soci-
