About this work

Description

Carnivorous bog plants with rosettes of yellow and red with sticky droplets on hairy spikes. Digests insects by means of enzymes similar to those in the human stomach. Contains naphthoquinone glucosides; used in homeopathy for treating whooping-cough for which it is a specific remedy as it reacts on the nerve-ends of the larynx.
