ANNUAL REPORT For the Yecir 194 7 & 194 8. TO THE LLANDILO RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL. Mr Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen, We have the honour to submit to you our Annual Reports for the two years ending December 31st, 1948. The Area of the District is 236,655 acres. The Registrar General’s Estimate of the resident pop- ulation is 25,090 (1947) and 26,314 (1948). Since our last Annual Report there have been three changes in the staff of the Public Health Department, viz.: (1) Dr. IT. D. Walters was appointed part time Med- ical Officer of Health for the Llandovery Sub-District in March, 1947. (2) Mr. Gwyn Thomas was appointed Senior Sanitary Inspector for the District in Lebruary, 1947. (3) Mr. D. Brinley Evans was appointed as an Additional Sanitary Inspector in June, 1948. Our Report has been divided into two main sections.: (1) Medical Statistics, and (2) Sanitary circumstances of the Area.
