The Life and adventures of Maria Knowles, The only daughter of Mr. John Knowles, a reputed, farmer, in the parish of Budworth, and county of Cheshire, who eloped from her father's house, went to London, and enlisted into the 44th Regiment of Foot, for the sake of a young man of the name of Cliff, after which she went to Holland, and from thence to French flanders, where she was wounded, and her sex discovered, and was afterwards married. Also, an account of her going to the West Indies, where her husband died, & her return to England.
