The value of the above table is lessened by the absence of any means of comparison with the numbers of each description of persons living at the time included in the report; and it is fur- ther evident, that of the better class of artizans but few apply for admission. The only point of interest is the circumstance, that three fleshers and two skinners, trades which have been sup- posed to grant immunity from the attacks of contagious fever, are included in the list of those who suffered from the disease. Residence.—In Table 5th, extracted from the statistical report, the residence of the patients is given.
