This is the page facing folio 249 which is the entry titled "tomentine" (a variant spelling of the the French "tourmentine" or "tuperntine" in English). The coloured illustration is executed very delicately and the book is written in double column 34-42 lines to a page in italics with coloured capitals. Apart from herbs and plants there are a number of illustrations of insects and animals and humans performing agricultural duites.
