About this work

Description

"This little zine is drawings I made during Inktober, October 2018. The aim of Inktober is to draw in ink every day, and post it online. It's fun to look at other people's drawings and to support each other. This was my second Inktober, and I quickly settled on this theme of 'still bisexual'. Many of the drawings were made swiftly, often when I was travelling on trains. As I get older, assumptions about my sexuality and politics by others are often very far from the mark. On the whole I'm embracing my chosen role of queer menopausal cat lady with some relish. There are some great perks in becoming older, a fierce joy and sense of freedom. Gloria Steinem said that 'women get more radical with age'. It's an astute observation. I've explored some of this in my drawings, plus frustrations and comments on subjects dear to my heart."--From front cover verso.
