About this work

Description

Health promotion: design of materials This is a health worker pre-testing an HIV prevention poster with a group of men in India. The poster uses a fear message (a skull) and also a complex visual symbol of overlapping feet to represent intercourse, which may not be understood. It is important to pre-test educational materials to ensure that the desired message is understood by the target population.
