The physical basis of mind : Sir Charles Sherrington.

Sir Charles Sherrington's introduction to the BBC Third Programme series on The Physical Basis of Mind, was recorded on 29 December 1948. Original recording was on a 78 rpm disc and transferred to tape on 29 October 1997. Sir Charles describes the sleepy sickness' (Encephalitis Lethargical) state of mind, which causes the sufferer great mental irritability. This can be cured by surgery to the brain, prefrontal leuchotomy.
