Biographical note
Sir Graham Wilson was preparing this work for publication at the time of his death. His former secretary, Madeleine Barry, worked on it thereafter, and was in correspondence with potential editors, with Wilson's sons, and with the publishers, Edward Arnold, but it was deemed impossible to complete for publication, and the working papers were placed in the CMAC. Wilson's sons, Charles and Antony, retain copyright in the manuscript.
