William Woodville's receipt to a Mr [Cardell] for £4.14.6 for a copy of 'Medical Botany'.
Purchased from Charavay, Paris, October 1928 / April 1929.
Director of the London Smallpox and Innoculation Hospital and carried out extensive vaccination trials on his patients in London. Wrote extensively, late 18th century-1800, of observations on cow-pox, the history of small-pox vaccination and also on medical botany.
