About this work
Description
This image shows an individual who has removed their layer of skin leaving the muscle layer showing. This individual is ironing their skin in an attempt to remove wrinkles. Fine lines and wrinkles are an inevitable part of the aging process. Wrinkles are caused by a reduction in the skins elasticity as we age, the skin also thins due to the loss of underlying fat. Keeping the body well hydrated, not smoking and protecting the skin from damaging UV light in sunlight can reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
