Description

Privilegium Aromathariae. Granted by the Collegium Aromathariorum Medicinalium of Padua. A printed form with the name inserted, within a vellum cover. With two MS. Certificates of competence and good conduct. The verso of the first vellum leaf contains a coloured water-colour drawing of St. Michael trampling upon a winged Satan, and the recto of the second vellum leaf, an emblazoned double-headed eagle crowned. The printed Privilegium is dated 23/1/1802, and signed by: Buzzaccarini (Gasparo), Protomedicus; Servadio (Antonio), Prior; Bernini (Francesco), Sub-Prior; Magoni (Giovanni), Sindico; Foscarini (Carlo), Prior Vecchio; Francesconi (Giacomo), Esaminador; Fabri (Alberto), Esaminador; Bonmartini (Camillo), Cancelliere di Sanita. On the verso of the second vellum leaf is an endorsement by the Commissione Departimentale di Sanità of Belluno, dated 16/5/1807. The two inserted certificates of competence and good conduct are dated from Feltre 22/8/1808, one is signed by Giovanni Ciucce, chief apothecary, the other by Zannetteli, the Podesta: both are endorsed by the Vice-Prefect, Bovio, with embossed seals. Produced in Padua & Feltre.
