Regular inspection of houses owned by the Local Authority again continued durinp: the year, selected areas being chosen from time to time. Generally, the houses were maintained in a very good condition, and the general state of cleanliness was found to be excellent. FOOD & DRUGS ACT. 1955. Satisfactory cc-operation has been achieved with the food traders, and during the year under review, there were complete alterations to several premises, resulting in a higher standard of hygiene being able to be maintained.
