Description

Ruins of the temple of Aphrodite (Venus) are shown with its surviving Doric columns and two local visitors. Aphrodisias was a small ancient Greek city in Caria, situated near the later village of Geyre, in Aydin, Turkey. It possessed a unique cult image, the Aphrodite of Aphrodisias
