    To Emma Erin (Peppiatt) Duncan, pioneer in maternity nursing, who graduated from St. Mary's Hospital, Praed St., London W2, in 1914 and was certified in 1915 by the Central Midwives Board. In 1917 she was named to the College of Nursing Limited, Cavendish Sq., London W1, and served in the British nursing corps.
