Description

Two images on one negative: replica denture comprising two canines and four incisors united by gold wire and a crown denture for a lower incisor. The first is a replica of an Ancient Egyptian denture, c. 7000 B.C. found in Sidon. The second is a replica of a Roman denture excavated at Satricum. They were previously part of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum but are not held by Wellcome Collection.
