About this work
Description
Charles Haviland visits India to investigate the medicinal properties of the neem tree. The tree grows in all of South Asia and has been used as a pesticide, a spermicide, a weapon against malaria and a natural toothbrush. We hear here about the efficacy of all these medicinal claims and also discuss whether or not this medicine should be patented by large international drug companies.
