Description

This video forms part of a comprehensive education resource pack designed to promote mental health in secondary schools. Seven short films explore a range of experiences and issues concerned with mental health, to provide strong and intriguing starting points for work with young people in the classroom, and with staff in training sessions. The seven short stories consist of: 1. Your Voice: Five young people talk about their feelings and concerns / 2. Helen's Story: A young woman's experience of depression / 3. Acting It Out: 'Cracked', Y Touring's theatre-in-education programme about mental illness / 4. Loss: A mother reflects on the impact of the death of her son / 5. Who cares?: Young people talk about caring for a dependent relative / 6. Bullying: Leah's experience of bullying and how she overcame it / 7. Working Together: A primary school's strategies for promoting mental health.
