About this work

Description

Letter dated by the year 1887 only (appears to have been added subsequently), on headed-paper from the Royal Mining, Engineering and Industrial Exhibition, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Heading: "Strophanthus".

Refers to the supply of Strophanthus and dividing profits "with them". "If we don't control the whole supply there's no use in our buying anymore as we have a fair stock in hand". Continues with reference to a Mr Moir, who "treated me in a very close way last year[,] all take & no give[,] a regular one-sided bargain & they will deal the same way this year...."
