The Committee have to report that, acting upon resolutions adopted at a meeting held on June 28, 1882, at which members of the various branches of the medical profession and public medical services were present, it was resolved that steps should be taken to carry into effect the desire to recognise by some public mark of approval the services rendered by Mr. Ernest Hart to various branches of the profession, and the influence which he had, during twenty-five years, exercised on social progress, and in advancing the welfare of the sick poor and the cause of public health.
