The man breaks his bell rope, having dropped the poker causing the kettle to spout boiling water; the cat claws his leg in alarm and his book falls to the floor

Lettering

Notions of the agreeable. Here's a dreadful situation! Murder! Betty! Here's the poker fell out! I shall be scalded to death! Oh this infernal gout!
