Description

Image of a microscope with a highly decorative conical case made in the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century in France. The Nachet Collection was a large set of microscopes collected by Albert Nachet and acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum (accession number R22/1949). The microscope is now held by the Science Museum (object number: A60957).
