Les occupations d'un homme de qualité sous le règne de Louis XIII: "Le Matin". Gravure de Mazot d'après Le Brun. Au bas de la gravure figurent ces deux quatrains, supprimés sur notre cliché: ... Lettering continues with verse: La nuict n'a pas plutôt fait place à la lumière/ que le françois jaloux de se veoir paresseux/ se revestit d'abord de sa forme première/ pour la guerre, ou l'amour, ou bien pour tous les deux./ les boucles, les miroirs, les galands à la mode/ les objets de beautè des dames de la cour/ Apprennent à l'Affrique, au Perse, à l'Antipode/ par l'employ du mattin comme ils font tout le jour.
