During the year arrangements rare made to purchase apparatus for the measurement of atmospheric pollution with a grant from the County Council, and this will cone into operation in 1966. The Council is responsible for the enforcement of licensing conditions where premises are licensed for the keeping of petroleum spirit. SimiilNG FACILITIES^ AMD POLLUTION OF There is no Slimming bath at present but bathing takes place during the summer months in the sea and in the river basin at Nest Bay. A number »f water samples have been taken from this basin and were unsatisfactory, not coning up to the standard acceptable in a swimming bath. SCHOOLS. These are regularly inspected. Ill have water closets, piped vra.ter and washing facilities. All are supplied daily with Pasteurised milk.
