Description
The bulk of the material consists of letters to McMichael dating from the period of his first stroke and the subsequent decline of his health. Correspondents express their best wishes and hopes that his health will improve quickly, whilst those who have clearly not heard about his illness ask him to participate in professional events. Outgoing correspondence was written by Lady McMichael, who would read letters to her husband and transcribe his replies.
