About this work
Description
At its first meeting in September 1965, the Commission decided to issue a general invitation to interested persons and organisations to submit evidence, whether fact or opinion, relevant to the its terms of reference. In addition, the Commission instructed the Secretary, MW Hodges, to write to organisations and institutions with a particular interest in the subject, specifically inviting them to submit evidence. Some of the evidence was copied and circulated in full, the rest was abstracted in a numbered series of memoranda.
