About this work

Description

Opera nova... [Edited by Giovanni Battista Spontoni]. 1625. Copied by Giglio Guidi, 'mattematicho e fisigho dal Bergamo'. Illustrated by numerous pen-drawn figures of hands and faces. The work by Corvus is entered as No. 13272 in Proctor. The earliest known edition is undated and appears in Hain No. 5776, but the G. K. W. Vol. VII, p. 166 considers this to be a 16th century work, basing this opinion on the water-mark of the paper. The second work in this MS. is a copy of the first edition of Spontoni. Produced in Bergamo.
