Description

Photomacrograph of a blue bee (unknown species). This bee has a metallic blue/green head, thorax and abdomen. One of two compound eyes (for accurate perception of movement) and two antennae are also visible here. Bees are important pollinators and play a crucial role in maintaining our environment, promoting the growth of crops and flowers many of which directly impact on our own health and wellbeing.
