About this work

Description

Lipocains: molecular model of the plasma retinol- binding protein (PDB code:1rbp), ribbon diagram. The retinal molecule is shown as a green CPK model. Lipocains are proteins that transport small hydrophobic molecules such as steroids, bilins, retionoids and lipids. They share limited regions of sequence similariy and a common tertiary structure. Plasma retinol binding protein (RBP) delivers retinol from the liver stores to the peripheral tissues.
