Photograph of two images. The top image is of an illustration found in a manuscript of an individual with leprosy, with a warning bell, dated circa 15th century. The bottom image is of a drawing of the old Hospital of St. Bartholomew, Oxford. The hospital was founded by King Henry I in 1126 for those infected with leprosy and could accomodate up to twelve patients.
