The second in a four-part series which pits three different kinds of childcare against each other. Six families with newborn babies are mentored by three childcare experts: Claire Verity is a proponent of the strict routine avocated by 1950s childcare expert Truby King, Dreena Hamilton takes her lead from 1960s Dr. Spock who believed no child could be given too much love and Claire Scott who advocates 1970s method the Continuum Concept in which Western children are brought up using tribal methods of care. For a period of three months the six families are followed. In this part we see them through the first two weeks of dealing with their babies. There are also short clips of the experts in discussion.
