One glass plate negative containing two images. The first is an engraving of Carl Linnaeus (1707-1778), Swedish botanist, physician and zoologist also known as Carl von Linne. Second is an engraving of Girolamo Fracastoro (1478-1553), Italian physician, poet, and scholar in mathematics, geography and astronomy (Latin name: Hieronymus Fracastorius)
