During 1951 with the exception of the Influenza epidemic in the early part of the year, there was no abnormal incidence of infectious diseases within the Borough. Diphtheria. One of the most satisfying facts in the control of infectious diseases has been the nation wide decline in incidence and mortality from this Diphtheria. There were no cases notified within the Borough.
