About this work

Description

Watercolour drawing of a portion of the skin of the chest of a boy, aged 15 years, who suffered from very severe psoriasis. The lower part of the trunk, both in front and behind, and also his limbs were covered with thick greyish-yellow crusts. When these were picked off, a bright red raw surface remained. One of these patches is represented on the left.
