Pencil studies are of the exterior of a series of buildings. The two gouache paintings are of the same interior scene, probably depicted from the artist's perspective as he sits at a table by a window; in one painting a woman sits opposite him and he has coffee, in the other the woman is gone and the table is bare. Outside it is snowing. Other small sketches show a man's face, a very simple map, a series of diamond shapes. There are written pencil notes surrounding most of the drawings.
