    THE preface. As the common Methods of treating Ulcers of the Legs are unfuccefsful, and their breaking out again, after a fup- pofed Cure, frequent j it is furpriiing, that no other Methods than thofe at pre- fent have been put in Pradice, to render their Cure more certain. But, I believe, a blind Obedience to Authority, prejudices the Minds of many Practitioners, and renders them inadive in the Purfuit of Im¬ provements, which might be eafily made ; by applying more clofely to the Effeds of iimple Medicines, in curing Difeaies.
