About this work

Description

Muscle testing This image shows a health worker testing for muscle strength in the hand of a leprosy patient. A piece of card is placed between the fingers and the patient is asked to hold it there as the examiner tries to pull it away. If the muscles are weak, the card is easily pulled from between the fingers. This is mainly testing the ulnar nerve supply to the adductor digiti minimi muscle.
