Segment 1 A little girl is seen unwrapping a present. A male voiceover says, 'by carrying a donor card, you're offering the gift of life, but if you haven't told your next of kin, whose consent will be asked, it could turn out to be an empty gesture'. The girl is shown more fully; she is attached to a drip in hospital, and the present turned out to be an empty box. She shakes it, sadly. The donor card logo is shown, with the phone number to call.
