Description

Typescript drafts of Galton's presidential address to the Demography Section of the International Congress of Hygiene and Demography, concerning "the relative fertility of different classes and races, and their tendency to supplant one another under various circumstances."

There are two drafts, one heavily annotated and struck through by Galton, the other marked "Revised", with minor corrections. A folio of manuscript notes is attached to the first draft.
