About this work

Description

This film is a sequel to the 1972 film 'Too Soon Blues', and which like the first part intersperses teenagers' thoughts about having sex with a dramatised story of a young black couple (Debbie and Jay) who we saw go through a pregnancy scare in the earlier film, and now attempt to have a more approach to their sexual relationship and the possibility of pregnancy - we see Debbie go to a Planned Pregnancy clinic and decide to begin taking the contraceptive pill. This film, like 'Too Soon Blues,' brilliantly encapsulates a sense of 1970s teenager life in the US with a fabulous film score by Salt River.
