    CHIROPODY SERVICE The only significant change was a reduced number of physically handicapped patients and an increase in the number of elderly patients. The total number treated in 1968 was just over 3$ more than in 1967. Over 65 Patients Treatments -! When they return 50$ of the Mental Health Staff in area will be professionally qualified. During the year Mrs. F. Moore and Miss A. Davenport returned having successfully obtained their Diploma for teaching the mentally handicapped. The number in attendance at the Junior Training Centre has continued to increase. For the first time there is a waiting list for admission to the opecial Care Unit, which provides Day Care for the more severely mentally retarded who also have other handicaps. Parents’ evenings at the Junior -entre have been very well attended, but in an effort to encourage parents to visit the Centre during the day, they are being offered individual appointments to meet the Supervisor and staff. This gives parents the opportunity to see their child at work; to discuss problems with the staff anc ensures a continuity of approach to problems at home and at the Centre. 1 ls approach should materially assist both parents and staff in the social training and development of the child. ,hp rfrthBr fP'“sion.at the lining Centre will not be possible until the Divisional office is moved to the new offices in Northwich Town Centre.
