Notes on cases of patients: in alphabetical order. Author's holograph MS. The dates range from 29 April 1853 to 12 April 1854, but some entries have been added down to 1856. Inscription inside the upper cover 'C. 1853. Thos. Watson M.D. 16 Henrietta St. Cavendish Sq.' Produced in London.

The author 'became a leading physician in London, 1825-70' and was professor at University College, London 1828-1831 and at King's College, London 1831-1840: he was elected F.R.S. in 1859, and created a Baronet in 1866 [see the Dictionary of National Biography].
