Biographical note
No record has been traced of this author, but it is possible that 'Hugo' has been written in error for 'Pico'. The work does bear a very considerable resemblance to the cabbalistic works ascribed to Giovanni Pico della Mirandola [1463-1494] [cf. MS. 972 Arcangelo de Borgo Nuovo].
