About this work

Description

The first item on the programme is about negotiation - the key to human interaction whether at work, home or in the world of politics. What psychological techniques can we use to break deadlock and reach a deal that everyone can live with? Raj Persaud speaks to Dr. Daniel Shapiro, co-author of 'Beyond Reason, Using Emotions as You Negotiate' and Steve Hodder, a negotiator for ACAS, the UK conciliation service. The second item is about magnetoencephalography (MEG), a new brain scanning technique which is about to arrive at neuroscience research departments around the country. The final item is about happiness. How happy should we aim to be to optimise our health?
