Description

Leaflet (in English) bearing a letter from Jean Moreau "the victor of Hohenlinden, now a close prisoner in the Temple" addressed "to monsieur Bonaparte, the First Consul". The letter had "been circulated all over Paris and many thousand copies ... sent into the departments." it calls for Napoleon to recall "the legal heir to the throne of France, and limit severely his authority" to avoid scenes of anarchy, tyranny, horror, terror and scandal.
