No detailed Sanitary Inspector's reports can be rendered as they were only here for just over a quarter of the period under review, and barely had time to find their way about before they left. Inspectors, when obtained, are unlikely to stay unless the local authority takes steps to house them Occasional abatement of nuisances and urgent repairs to houses were carried out by the Borough Surveyor when no Sanitary Inspector was available.
